National resilience increases in prioritized industrial clusters

In the year of production leap, we seek to increase national productivity in the country”s strategic industries that form a large part of the country’s production and economy. The president of the strategic technologies development center mentioned: ne of the Vice-Presidency’s priorities of this year (Production Leap) is to increase national resilience in prioritized industrial clusters.

The concept of resilience manifests itself in increasing natural and economic problems and crises. For example, in the context of the economic sanctions imposed on Iran by some countries, this national resilience is widely used, and the government and the nation must work together to implement this new concept in an effort to survive these crises.

National production and national resilience are two interconnected links in the country”s economic chain that must lead to a mutation in production. In the face of sanctions, production needs a national determination and a high level of tolerance. This is one of the missions of the Vice-Presidency in this year to accelerate domestic production with the help of academics.

The Value Chain of Agriculture and Food Security Is One of These Priorities

Esmaeil Ghaderifar, the president of the strategic technologies development center, expressed about the realization of production leap with the help of the innovation and technology ecosystem of the country, stating: currently, 5,000 students and 6,000 startups operate in the country, which means the existence of manpower and a reserve capable of increasing and leaping production in the country. We must use this national resource to increase the country”s production capacity.

According to Ghaderifar, one of the most important areas for enhancing national resilience is agriculture. Today, we see that despite the high national capabilities, a large part of the agricultural value chain, seedlings and seeds from other countries are still imported to Iran. However, we can meet this internal need with the help of students.

He continued: if we believe in the ability of scholars in the economic development of the country, we can overcome all crises without the need for other countries and only relying on our own resources.
