The vice president for science and technology affairs expressed on the opening ceremony of “My Brain Pardis”: the cognitive sciences and technologies is an extensive field that has brought dignity to our country and has entered the community through culture building and creating a creative and entrepreneurial generation, that will create the future of the country.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, today and concomitant with the week of brain awareness, My Brain Pardis was inaugurated in book garden of Tehran in the presence of Ishaq Jahangiri, the first vice president.

The vice president for science and technology affairs pointed out the necessity of infrastructural works, fundamental activities and low-level actions to be prominent in the science and technology, asserting: basic actions have been performed by the Vice-Presidency in the field of students. The goal of research centers and supply of human resources in universities are all steps taken to train a human resources that can create the future of the country with cognitive sciences and technologies.

The head of the cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter affirmed: the area of cognitive sciences is one of the interdisciplinary fields that brings soft power and dignity for the country.

He also mentioned: in this area, capable human resources can be trained in order to be powerful in this field.

The vice president for science and technology affairs talked about meeting of the researchers and members of the cognitive sciences and technologies affairs with the Supreme Leader, explaining his especial attention to the efforts made in this area. He continued: in this meeting, the emphasis made on this issue by the Supreme Leader showed the necessity of taking effective steps in this field.

Pointing out that the cognitive sciences area is a wide circle of knowledge and sciences, Sattari added: different headquarters work in the Vice-Presidency, the most prominent and significant of which is the cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter. The main responsibility of this organization is mainstreaming. Some actions must be performed in universities to create the market for startups and companies and complete the chain of innovation and value creation. In this regard, mainstreaming and synergy between organizations are among the missions of this headquarter.

The president of the knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter expressed the improvements made in production of scientific articles and academic studies, patent registration and innovations. He expressed hope that the young generation active in the field of sciences and knowledge borders take on various occupations, such as university professor, technology developer, and owner of a knowledge-based business. In addition, he hoped that an interested generation exist, who care about the future of their country and seek success in innovation and technological entrepreneurship.

In this event, the winners of the national competition of brain knowledge received their awards from Ishaq Jahangiri, the first vice president, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, Kamal Kharazi, advisor to the vice president for science and technology affairs in the field of cognitive sciences, and Mansour Gholami, the minister of science and research.
