The field of cognitive sciences is a new but important knowledge in the world. Therefore, the cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter has aimed to increase cooperation with international centers to develop its activities in this area.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter and valid scientific centers of Brazil have carried out joint cooperation in order to develop their scientific and specialized activities. In this regard, employing support policies has led to the formation of bases of joint research and technical cooperation between the two countries in knowledge and technology borders and development of cognitive services and tools by creating projects between researchers and experts.

The cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter has put expanding collaboration to exchange students and faculty, expanding research collaborations in educational areas, enriching partnerships between academic centers, supporting conferences, forums and scientific workshops, and expanding training for researchers with the aim of establishing strong inter-agency links between Iran and Brazil on its agenda to meet international goals and creative strong relations with Brazil.

In addition, a joint cooperation table has been created between the two countries to strengthen scientific cooperation and attract researchers and experts in various fields, especially the area of cognitive sciences and technologies.

Over the last three years, the scientific delegations of the two countries have expressed the expansion of cooperation between academic and scientific centers in the areas of cognitive sciences and using the capacities and abilities of the two countries to create bilateral sustainable links in order to create joint benefits and strengthen cooperation and exchange information between the two countries.

With the formation of the science and research cooperation table between cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter and two valid scientific centers in Brazil, identification of capacities and potentials in the fields of cognitive science knowledge and carrying out joint research projects, establishing joint cooperation between Iranian and Brazilian scientific teams in areas of mutual interest in the frontiers of knowledge and technology, and developing cognitive services and tools between the two countries are initiated.

Seven calls for acceptance of research projects in the field of cognitive science have been held through the contact of senior experts from the headquarters of cognitive science and two prestigious Brazilian scientific centers to create a solid atmosphere of mutual cooperation between the two countries in recent years.

The development of aggressive and non-invasive tools for brain communication, training and cognitive brain studies as well as social cognition, brain mapping, services and assessment and rehabilitation tools are devoted to collaborative areas of call for projects.

The cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter of São Paulo and higher education support and evaluation organization of Brazil have signed and exchanged two agreements to strengthen scientific cooperation in line with the implementation of joint research projects along with exchange of students and professors in the field of brain and cognition studies.
