Mr. Qalehnoui said at the opening ceremony of the exhibition: “Since last year, we have established innovation and technology houses in several export target countries with the support of the Deputy for Science and Technology. The Iranian Innovation and Technology House in Tehran under the name (iHiT) at the International Exhibition Site is the central branch of innovation and technology houses in export target countries. Previously, innovation and technology houses (iHiT) have also been established in Kenya, Syria, China and Russia, and now the central branch of iHiT, which is the hub of these centers, has been established in Tehran under the supervision of the Deputy for Science and Technology.”
He added: “Upgrading hardware infrastructure through the creation of showrooms of knowledge-based products and achievements, providing dedicated workspaces, providing shared workspaces and B2B meeting rooms, as well as enabling the export of knowledge-based companies through the provision of software services including market research, marketing, obtaining standards and sales licenses, can be achieved at iHiT centers.
Introducing knowledge-based export products to foreign guests and growing exports are among the most important goals of holding this permanent exhibition at the Iranian Innovation and Technology House. Currently, more than 800 products from 350 knowledge-based companies are on display at this exhibition.
In addition, a network of export agents (about 30 agents) in target export countries is now active. On the other hand, a network of domestic and foreign traders and merchants has been established through the Iranian Innovation and Technology Houses.”
It should be noted that the project to establish and operate the Tehran Innovation and Technology House was carried out with government credit and private sector investment, and has so far provided direct employment to at least 30 people.
After presenting the report of Engineer Qale Nooyi, the President stated: “Creating such an exhibition in Tehran seemed necessary and essential so that we could display knowledge-based achievements in a permanent exhibition and in a complex manner. This exhibition will encourage activists and young people who are working in the field of knowledge-based activities.
The Iranian Innovation and Technology House is a path to more sales and better communication with the world; these centers will facilitate the relationship between businessmen and businessmen with elites and knowledge-based companies, and can introduce our knowledge-based products to different countries in this way.”
After the official opening ceremony, the guests present in the hall visited different sections of the exhibition.
